Since I was very young, drawing, painting and playing with colouring pencils and paints were my favourite activities. Whenever I saw a nice picture, I would try to copy it. And I had a big desire for detailed and fine art in a way that I could spend hours on a small section of a painting. Hence I was very much attracted to Persian Miniature painting. For many years, I was trained by one the most well-known miniaturists in Iran, named Ms Afshanpour. The hours spent on my Thursday classes were the best hours of each week. However, due to society perspectives, I chose physics as my major and interestingly, the 4 years of studying physics at university were my best years!
I also had a chance to experience the student life in a different country with different language and culture, and what is a better subject than Physics?!!
Physics is the art of nature and has loads of different branches, from Astronomy to Medicine. And now, physics and its application in medicine is my main speciality.
Painting and drawing are still playing an important role in my life and they have a friendly relationship with my physics side, but these days I often find myself thinking about those hours of pleasure spent in Mr Afshanpour’s classes. Is it possible to travel to the past? One day maybe!!!
